    hi
m new on this forum. M installing mysql-4.0.27 on Fedora 4, when I compiling it I recieves an error about linux threads.:-

    checking "LinuxThreads"... "Not found"
configure: error: This is a linux system and Linuxthreads was not
found. On linux Linuxthreads should be used. Please install Linuxthreads
(or a new glibc) and try again. See the Installation chapter in the
    Reference Manual for more information.

Kindly tell me anyone whats the prob is n how can I resolve this issue.

    regards

the first question is, why do you want to compile it your own?
Why don't you install it either via yum or by rpm from mysql.com's downloads?

Regarding that thread thing there seems to be a bug... http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=19785

I actually don't know how to solve that problem with linuxthreads.. the only thing I can do (as you can do on your own as well) is searching in the www with google etc. like things of compiling mysql and linuxthread etc.... in that way I found the link I posted...
