Im going to System > CP users, under the button to add new user there is info about not to add them this way Ive sshed via PuTTy, added 2 users: - userApp - userSit and reloaded ISPConfig. Users are pickable (=I can see and modify their SSH). but SDLP rips DDS HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You mix up many things here: 1) Why did you add a user there when the control panel told you not to do that? Control panel users are added automatically when you add a client. 2) Control panel users are not related to Linux shell users in any way.
I guess you installed ISPConfig and did not read at ispconfig.org first what the purpose if this software is. ISPConfig is a manegement tol for internet service providers, it is not a tool for your desktop. A controlpanel user is the user that allows a client at an ISP to login to ispconfig and manage his website settings and therefore such a controlpanel user is associated with the client record which holds the limits and invoice data.
A CP User is a Control panel user, this is a user for the ISPConfig Control Panel and not a Shell user. Regarding shell users in ISPConfig, yes, thats's a Linux user to access the website, see your other thread where that topic is explained in detail.
