Hello everyone I want to setup a server following The Perfect Server - Ubuntu 16.04 guide I have the domain julcraft.com for my wife it is through dotyou.com My questions are What should the hostname be in the guide it is server1.example.com so should I make it server1.julcraft.com Do I need to setup the DNS and MX records through dotyou.com or do I set it up using the DNS settings in ISPConfig Thanks Alan
My sever names are all based on the Babylon5 tv show, so they can be anything you like. If your going to do the DNS on the ispconfig box, then you do it there. If not you have to do it all on your dns host.
Oh ok I do want to do DNS on the ispconfig box. I think i got it setup but what do I use for the nameserver under the DNS Zone? Thanks
