Bizarre issue with letsencrypt/ispconfig on some sites Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS xenial ISPConfig 3.1.8p1 PHP 7.0.22-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Nginx version: nginx/1.10.3 (Ubuntu) I have a rather strange issue I can not seem to pin down. Both ispconfig and letsencrypt work well and have been working well for some time however recently about every tenth website that is added in ispconfig letsencrypt does nothing. I click the Let's Encrypt SSL checkbox when creating the site at issue and click save then it creates the site with the Let's Encrypt SSL checkbox disabled. I then reopen the web site settings and click the Let's Encrypt SSL checkbox again and hit save and nothing happens not even the little notification on the top of the ispconfig page that lets you know it is doing something. I even try saving again with the checkbox unchecked and no notification that it is making changes. As I mentioned previously this happens on about every tenth site added to ispconfig. I am stumped. The logs do not seem to show anything or maybe there is a log file I am missing. Any ideas on what to check next?
did you add all names for this site to your dns? if you have ipv6-records in the dns-zone for this site, make sure, that nginx is listening to ipv6, too.
Thanks Florian, I overlooked the fact that the domains that were at issue were cloned from a zone file that had a AAAA record for the root zone. I removed the AAAA record from the domains and all is working as it should now. Many Thanks!!! -Benjamin
