    Hi. Roundcube works great but when I try to add an email account to thunderbird, I get an error. I am using the full [email protected] as the username and have tried manual settings to no avail.

    Code:
    Nov 25 11:43:45 maranatha dovecot: imap([email protected]): Logged out in=119 out=983
    Nov 25 11:44:45 maranatha dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<[email protected]>, method=PLAIN, rip=::1, lip=::1, mpid=5693, secured, session=<kwaNOdJe+rsAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB>
    Nov 25 11:44:45 maranatha dovecot: imap([email protected]): Logged out in=119 out=983
    Nov 25 11:45:01 maranatha dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 0 secs): user=<>, rip=::1, lip=::1, secured, session=<b7WGOtJeBLwAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB>
    Nov 25 11:45:01 maranatha dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 0 secs): user=<>, rip=::1, lip=::1, secured, session=<D7aGOtJe4MgAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB>
    Nov 25 11:45:01 maranatha postfix/smtpd[5777]: connect from localhost[::1]
    Nov 25 11:45:01 maranatha postfix/smtpd[5777]: lost connection after CONNECT from localhost[::1]
    Nov 25 11:45:01 maranatha postfix/smtpd[5777]: disconnect from localhost[::1] commands=0/0
    Nov 25 11:45:45 maranatha dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<[email protected]>, method=PLAIN, rip=::1, lip=::1, mpid=5785, secured, session=<ZIsgPdJeCLwAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB>
    Nov 25 11:45:45 maranatha dovecot: imap([email protected]): Logged out in=119 out=983

    It looks like it's showing that I'm connecting, but no auth attempt?

    Thanks in advance.

    First of all the domain doesn't look okay. Use your server's host name.
    The "autodetect" is not a good choice in most cases. Use the appropriate setting matching your server config.
    Make sure port 587 is configured on your postfix and opened in the firewall.

    I discovered that it was blocking my PIA VPN. I have some spam settings set to "Normal". Would that cause this?

    No. Spam settings don't affect firewall or fail2ban etc.
    But you might have been blocked by fail2ban or similar software due to some failed login trials during configuration of your client.
