Hello, How to disable ability to add duplicate sites/domains for users in ISPConfig panel? I recently experienced a "down" whole server when a user adds a duplicate site. For example user has sitename.com and aditional added www.sitename.com - all sites in the server gets 500 error.
Just tested this here and I can't add a duplicate domain name in ISPConfig 3.1.10. Duplicate domains can be entered when you have a multiserver setup and the two websites are on different servers. If you want to further restrict which domains can be added by the user, then you can enable the domain limits module under System > interface config. Beside that, which web server do you use, apache or nginx?
My servers is apache and multiserver. But users enable duplicate domains in the same server (I have one server for users at this moment).
P.S. adding domain in ISPConfig panel: There is already a website or sub / aliasdomain with this domain name. Maybe these users add duplicate domains with ispcfg3 module for WHMCS... :/
I don't use WHMCS, so I can't tell you if it does correct duplicate checks. I just tested to add a duplicate domain manually in apache config as it can't be added trough ISPConfig UI and it does not cause any issues here. So your 500 error on all sites might have had a different cause than the duplicate domain name.
But when I remove duplicate site, server starts normaly. And this is not first time and diferent users.. I will try to update to 3.1.10 (my version is 3.1.8p1)
