hi to all im trying to config my dns server using isconfig 3 under ubuntu 16 i creat zone mydomaine and A reccord smtp A adressip when i write nslookup smtp.mydomain or dig smtp.mydomaine no adresse ip returned but nslookup mydomaine work perfect and nslookup wwww.mydomaine work too why dns dont resolv smtp.mydomain. please some help??
Could you show what you have written to those name service records? You can replace the actual domain name with mydomain if you want. I assume you are issuing those nslookup commands on your windows workstation, is this so? Please copy and paste the commands you write. Have you waited enough time to let the name service info to propagate to name servers around the world? Instead of nslookup on the windows workstation, you can use command host on the server where you run ISPConfig.
