Hello guys again After 3.1 install with Perfect Server Ubuntu 16.04 tutorial i see that Roundcube version is 1.2 beta (current version is 1.3.6). It is possible to update roundcube with newest version?
If Roundcube 1.2 is not suitable, it may be possible to remove the Roundcube package from Ubuntu, and install Roundcube from https://roundcube.net. I don't know how ISPConfig works with this Roundcube. Maybe a better way is to install Ubuntu 18.04, which has 1.3 Roundcube.
It may be good idea, maybe i should wait for new Perfect Server tutorial, and install 18.04. But probably 16.04 at the moment more stable and secure than new 18.04?
There was user asking for this before on how to upgrade to latest RC version and I already response to it. Try to find the thread, if you are thinking to do an upgrade.
Do not update to 18.04 until we officially support it in ISPConfig, otherwise, your server setup might break.
In my opinion, one should wait a few weeks before using the new release of an operating system in production to give the Ubuntu developers time to iron out issues that were found after rollout. Ubuntu 18.04 is probably not better or worse than 16.04, it's just newer and it uses newer software. But newer software is not always a benefit by itself (as long as older versions are still maintained), Ubuntu 18.04 comes with PHP 7.2, I guess quite a few older websites will stop working when you put them on an Ubuntu 18.04 server without installing an older PHP version as additional PHP version for these sites.
