I am following the multiserver server tutorial setup (for Debian Squeeze https://www.howtoforge.com/multiser...se-servers-on-debian-squeeze-with-ispconfig-3 ) and it uses Apache2 as the main webserver, as i prefer nginx is it possible to use it instead and if so how does it differ from the setup guide? TIA

Currently I'm setting up a multiserver system using the following guide as base: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/perfect-server-debian-9-nginx-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3.1/ Due to the fact that ISPconfig configs the webserver automatically (and determine which webserver is installed) you just have to adapt the webserver settings.
That's right, the multi-server guide is basically just the perfect server split into multiple systems, so using the chapters from perfect server is absolutely fine. And then run ispconfig installer in expert mode to be able to join the master. And you have to add a root user or multiple root users in mysql on the master that are able to connect from hostname and Ip of the slaves, these root connections are used for ispconfig installation and updates only.
