POSTFIX problem?

    rigt now i have a problem with my mail server, its says on my log connection timed out(port25) , but my port25 is open and my firewall is disabled. can you help me with this problem. i installed my centos with the help of the tutorial here.

    Please check if your server got blacklisted, e.g. on sorbs.net, etc.

    i checked, it was not blocked...

    Did you check all major blacklists?
    Do you have a dynamic IP address?
    Do you have proper SPF and PTR records for your domains?

    i am just new with this kind of installation. i am trying to play with my box and hopefully i can make it stable server.. i just reinstall my whole system because my other domain name when i dig it there is something strange that come out

    Same problem as before. Please check if you're blacklisted. Does your server have a dynamic IP address and/or is it on a DSL line or something like that?

    I had the same problem when I first started using ISPConfig. It was because my ip was dynamic and that I had to use a relayhost.

    This is done by editing /etc/postfix/main.cf. Locate the line that says relayhost and add your smtp server info to it.

    e.g. relayhost = isp.smtp.com

    Of course you'll have to put in the smtp server that was provided to you by your ISP.
