Looks like your server actually can send e-mails, but the receiving servers do not accept e-mails from your server. Like the log says: Verify the e-mail sending and receiving works within yours server by sending in Roundcube an e-mail to yourself, i.e. send to that same e-mail address you used to log in to Roundcube. Things to check: output of command hostname and hostname -f from your server check MX record for the sending domain, adapt this example Code: $ host howtoforge.com howtoforge.com has address 104.24.1.68 howtoforge.com has address 104.24.0.68 howtoforge.com has IPv6 address 2606:4700:20::6818:44 howtoforge.com has IPv6 address 2606:4700:20::6818:144 howtoforge.com mail is handled by 10 mail.howtoforge.com. MX host is what appers on the mail is handled by -line. Check again with host command: Code: $ host mail.howtoforge.com. mail.howtoforge.com has address 78.46.214.220 tale@ryzen /home/tale $ host 78.46.214.220 220.214.46.78.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer mail.ensign.de. Check using some website that does mail server checks, for example https://mxtoolbox.com/ the SPF etc. records are as they should.
That worked the spf did not generate correctly had I typo it was like this v==spf1 mx a ~all. Now I need to learn how make the DMARC already have the SPF and DKIM working. Thank you
Well that was easy to make a DMARC record used the generator on https://mxtoolbox.com/. Thanks again for the help!
Above is the DMARC Check confused is there a error because of the red x on the top entry and stats no record found? what should the dns dmac text title be? (default._domainkey. _domainkeys) SPF and DKIM verified OK. If I email my self using roundcube the email marked as spam. I send email to a google email it goes to the spam folder. How do I keep the emails out of the spam folder is there a DMARC problem maybe? ***SPAM***Test MSG
Your screenshot clearly reads "No DMARC record found". Read the mail.log to see why your server put the e-mail to spam. Also the mail itself may show spam score and such in headers. Google puts mails to spam for many reasons. Check with MXtoolbox if your mail server is blacklisted.
Here's the weird thing I got spf, dkim and dmarc fixed per https://mxtoolbox.com/ And found that the vps ip was blocked using https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/ and unblocked it a few hours ago. Cleared cache on my browser per https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/ and checked again and was blocked again. so I unblocked it again. The server is not active and has only emails mine so no one is sending
