Just finished installing ISP config on my DO droplet (plenty of ram/storage/bandwidth etc...), and I'm having some issues with Roundcube. Prior to this current issue, I was experiencing an issue with sending mail but could receive it. This seems to have been resolved by me changing the hostname, which was automatically set as the name of my DO droplet, instead of the domain of my site. Currently, I do seem to be able to send and receive mail, but I can't change any account settings from within RoundCube (can't change password, autoreply etc...). I just receive the error seen in the attached picture (soap error - the login is not allowed from [ip of server]). Has anyone experienced this before, or know how to fix it?
Looks like you have not installed ISPConfig plugins for roundcube. They allow change of password etc ISPConfig stuff from within roundcube. https://github.com/w2c/ispconfig3_roundcube
well depends, maybe just misread the section about the login. If you tell RC to use the ISPConfig remote API using hostname/external IP, the created user might need access granted to connect from remote aswell.
in the ispconfig remote user configuration I changed localhost with my ip address and now works!!!!!!
