Hello, I was renaming mail_access table in dbispconfig database to mail_accessBAK and then back and from that moment I cannot start postfix (port 25). after service postfix status I get: ---start --- postfix.service - LSB: Postfix Mail Transport Agent Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/postfix; bad; vendor preset: enabled) Drop-In: /run/systemd/generator/postfix.service.d └─50-postfix-$mail-transport-agent.conf Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Fri 2019-10-25 12:46:03 CEST; 18s ago Docs: man:systemd-sysv-generator(8) Process: 2872 ExecStart=/etc/init.d/postfix start (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Oct 25 12:45:58 faster16.jbmd.com systemd[1]: Starting LSB: Postfix Mail Transport Agent... Are you sure, the problem is with the database? Looks like you have the option "unix-dgram" in your configuration, which is not supported (I think this was added in Postfix 3.4). Which version of postfix are you running? (Debian Stretch has 3.1)
Steini86, good tip. I did get a similar advice on another forum = to disable that line in master.cf. After that postfix started.
