What would be the best way to install and configure Linux for someone with little or no computer background?

Do you want to install a Desktop or server and what do you plan to use your Linux system for?

I would be using a laptop and for home use for now. Then hopefully get my cert. and go forward in this OS.

If your certification does not require a specific Linux Distribution, then try to use Ubuntu. It's easy to install and use and it's quite popular, so you will find many tutorials for it.
