postfix /var/log/mail error, i'd like to fix

hey guys,

im using postfix, as per http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_suse_10.0_p4 without ispconfig. my setup is not verbatum to the tutorial, apache2, mysql, and php5 have been compiled. postfix and spamassassin installed via yast. all im trying to do is solve what this issue is in /var/log/mail

this began showing up after i log into postfix via outlook 2003, and also after a login from squirrelmail. The test config from squirrelmail tests with no errors. Any insight you guys could provide would be great !!

ok, i did some searching of the forums here and i did find something related to my issue:

fam-server is installed on my system, i did try to restart, and start famd, but i get "no such file or directory"

so, im still lost unless the startup for famd is different?

 

I think it's /etc/init.d/fam instead of /etc/init.d/famd. But you can check with

Code:

ls -l /etc/init.d

.

restarting "fam" did the trick. and i learned a new command
