im trying to host a few sites for some friends, and possibly my small town's site as well, and maybe a union hall and stuff, im looking for a good CMS (open source) that i can load up for them, and they can do all the visuals, and let them make and configure the page with a good wysiwyg web interface. i have played with a few CMS sites but never found one that just jumped out at me, any ideas?
Personally I work with Typo3, it is very flexible but this results in a very compliacted setup. I think Joomla and Drupal are much easier to setup nad worth to have a look at them.
any other wysiwyg editors i can setup and let someone make changes to their site after i do the initial setup? i will check them out?
I'd also suggest looking at Drupal and Joomla. They're different, of course, but they're both popular, capable, and are well supported. ________ Launch Box
I've been playing with joomla, I like it. ModX is something else but not as easy as joomla. Check out http://opensourcecms.com/ You can find both there and login to working demos.
