Outgoing webmail and php mails never reaches.

    For some reason when sending emails using webmail and PHP mail it says that the email was sent successfully but for some reason, it never reaches the destination. Incoming emails are working fine. Nothing in the
    Code:
    /var/log/mail.log
    and also there are no specific emails in the mail queue.

    Could you point me in the right direction as I am not able to fix it for the past 3 days?

    There must be something added to the mail.log when you are using the php mail() function. At least unless you manually configured php in php.ini to use a different server or so.

    Hi,

    I created a PHP mail test file again and ran the test and now it logged the error in mail.log file. I have included the log below. I did notice that the email id mentioned in the log file is not correct which I have replaced in the log below with [email protected] and also replaced the IP address ith dummy one 111.111.111.111.

    There seem to be some general issues with your server setup when dovecot is unable to connect to mysql.

    Run these commands as root on the server:

    cd /tmp
    wget https://www.ispconfig.org/downloads/ISPConfig-3.1.15p3.tar.gz
    tar xvfz ISPConfig-3.1.15p3.tar.gz
    cd ispconfig3_install/install
    php -q update.php

    and choose to reconfigure services during update.

    Hi, I did the repair but still, emails are getting disappeared while sending by the webmail and PHP mail. No, any error log this time

    Change the email addresses to something like [email protected] and the alphanumeric ID's can be posted as they are just internal queue id's and are not of any use for someone who reads them here in the forum.

    ok, that's quite a lot. It is really unlikely that your mail.log file does not show any email activity, except when postfix is stopped but according to the test script, postfix is active. It might be that your server is sending to spam or a similar issue which blocks your mailqueue. Please run this command:

    tail -n 100 /var/log/mail.log

    and post the result.

    The ones that I sent out are not in the Queue as well. I have checked the spam folder of receiving end and there is nothing. The below command returns nothing.

    run:

    service postfix restart
    tail -n 100 /var/log/mail.log

    The restart of postfix must produce some lines in that file. And then:

    service amavis restart
    tail -n 100 /var/log/mail.log

    Is it possible that you switched from amavis spamfilter to rspamd without having rspamd installed?
