I'm going to use photos to better explain the problems I have having and that might actually help in terms of solving them with the help of you very nice lads. I am a complete noob when it comes to Linux but I have made it so far with weeks of research and trial and errors, hell I've reinstalled Ubuntu over 50 times, breaking something, restarting, and trying again. I've probably read and attempted every tutorial I could find as of yet and still have not bee successful; and a lot of the times I don't understand the responses; it would be so much easier if you could I would really appreciate specific commands and not just a list of instructions I don't understand, research, break something, start over, etc. I am at the brink of the finally right now. So here is what is going on:

    Here's What I Am Experiencing
The Certificate With Let'sEncrypt Somehow Magically Works On My Site Now?
The Certificate With ISPConfig Does Not (No Idea As To Why/It Also List MsNiblets As The Issuer) | Mail Doesn't Trust The Certificate Either
RoundCube Is Broken Or Something | Using Outlook I Am Able To Send Messages | Error Receiving/Sending Messages To Me?

If possible could anyone remote desktop and figure out how to solve these problems? I have a screen recorder installed; if you're willing to help me, I'm willing record both my desktop and if you are willing to go a step further and call I'll also record the audio. I will then personally use an entirely different machine, attempt to replicate what I have learned and if successful; I will create two complete tutorials for your site; How to Setup The Perfect Server on Ubuntu Server and How to Setup The Perfect Server using GUI. I don't have much to give, but I am willing to create a complete video tutorial utilizing everything I learn.

There are several tutorials that explain very well how to set your system up. You describe several errors here, it is better to create separate threads for every issue. As you are using ISPConfig, it is better to post this under the ISPConfig forum board. Just some tips for in the future.

You can hire professional support to help you out or work with the forum replies.

Are you sure postfix is configured by ISPConfig? Do you see any errors in your mail.log (/var/log/mail.log)?

You can create a certificate for your mailserver when installing ISPConfig and selecting yes for create certificates, or do it manually with this tutorial: https://www.howtoforge.com/securing...server-with-a-valid-lets-encrypt-certificate/
I advice you to use separate hostnames (smtp.example.com and imap.example.com) for reaching email instead of the server hostname. Sending can be done from your hostname.

You can also create a cert for the panel when installing. This will be created for the hostname of the server. It's good practice to use a subdomain for that (so server1.example.com instead of example.com).

I would advice you to get to know linux more before starting to host email, DNS, or websites. You don't want something to go down and be down for quite a while because you have no idea what you're doing. Fiddle around a bit with a test domain which can go down without causing trouble.

For your roundcube issue, did you configure roundcube to use the correct server and port?

Where is the configuration located and I'll paste it in here: I have followed the Perfect Server inustrctions to the tee, literally copying and pasting.

I can help you out but not for $10. I work on professional basis through a company that is not affliated with HowToForge.

    /etc/roundcube/config.inc.php
(make sure to remove sensitive data)

Did you create the necessary DNS records? Can you see the log files from the CLI?

I finally managed to get ISPConfig to be encrypted along with https://msniblets.com but now I can't get mail to work... I've been trying to change all the hostnames to mail.msniblets.com but no luck; also I've never been able to get webmail working since I've been doing this. I also don't think mail is properly encrypted.

I'll make you an account: [email protected] you can login at msniblets.com/webmail or use outlook. The password is REMOVED BY MOD. If I can get this last thing fixed and successfully get mail encrypted I am done!

Okay I've managed to fix sending and receiving, but RoundCube is still broke and ssl certificate isn't trusted, once I fix those two things my server is golden.

I have managed to get a working setup following (carefully) ISPConfig Perfect Server Guide. I find it strange it would take 50 attempts to get working.
My signature has link to tutorial about e-mail setup.

Hi, I am sorry to intrude in the conversation, but I am having a similar issue. I could not manage to get the Let's Cert SSL certificate to be installed correctly within ISPConfig 3.2, in the end I gave up and I have done it externally. So now I have the funny result that the main website (i.e. the frontend othe domain ISPCOnfig points to) works with an SSL certificate, but all the backend services don't (ispconfig, roundcube, phpmyadmin etc.), and they are using the auto-generated non-verified SSL certificate.
During my many attempts, I was encountering the error I saw above:
    Server's public ip(s) (***.***.***.***) not found in A/AAAA records for server.example.com: 127.0.1.1
It's a DNS issue, but in all the tutorials I have found, everybody mention about a configuration of the DNS servers, but it's not clear to me which ones. Are they talking about the ISP/Registrar DNS servers, the ISPConfig DNS area, Bind DNS configuration?
I believe that the ISP DNS servers and my ubuntu server host file are configured correctly, but I don't see why ISPconfig tries to resolve my static public IP address on 127.0.0.1.
Thanks in advance for the possible reply

Sorry, I thought it was relevant to the topic. I created a new post just related to the issue.
