    What type of computer and LINUX distro is best for hacking. And what monitor is best.

    "Hacking" has many definitions. A OS that includes many tools on install is Kali Linux.

    I meant computer. Mac, Windows, I don’t know.. Obviously a Linux machine is the way to go or is it?

    That's a operating system, not a computer. You can install Linux on almost all computers.
