Ispconfig interface unreachable after hostname changed by mistake

    Hi.
I just relaunched a new Debian installation from scratch... in any case my question is the following.
After having followed the perfect server guide, I accidentally typed
    Code:
    hostname mail
    and made some changes like:
    • changed roundcube config
    • test telnet port 10025
    • activate ufw and a few rules
    • exit
After a new login I noticed that, instead of being logged as root@old-hostname I logged in as root@mail.................
From that moment on, any service was unreachable via web: ispconfig, phpmyadmin, roundcube... WHY?
Sorry for the stupid question, but.. did I do such a horrible mistake? And how to fix it?
No log available, I relaunched a new installation from the beginning...

Setting the hostname from CLI is not persistent, and the changes you mention do not depend on the hostname; did you try rebooting?

I tried rebooting, anyway ispconfig and other services were unaccessible. :(
I reinstalled the server from scratch.
    Thanks.
