hi to every body i have a customer with a disaster in virtualmin server, and i have to rebuild the new server. i use ubuntu 22.04 + ispconfig with success ( off course) but he give me a HDD with backup of his websites (around 20) this backup were created with auto backup from his old server, (virtualmin) i take a view of these files, and it content a ot of info, but i cannot find sense anybody have any experience in ths area? tx in advance
Ask that customer how the backups were made and how they are restored. Maybe this helps: https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/system/backup-and-restore/
Maybe restore that backup to another new virtualmin server and migrate that to ISPConfig using its migration tool? You may also try to restore the websites files and database to your new ISPConfig without doing that if you can extract the backup website by website.
tx , i ask yo a lot of people, i ,finally, the unique way seems to be create a virtual webmin/virtualmin server , restore allthings and export, files and sql but this is a titanic job!!!!!
