Hello, I need your help, I have two dns under centos 7 which are in production, recently I installed ispconfig to manage my websites, how can I manage my dns from ispconfig, example when I create a dns zone on ispconfig this zone will be automatically created in my two external dns servers. Best regards.
add the existing domains to your current ispconfig server. install ispconfig on one of your centos dns servers ( or a new server to replace one of the existing dns servers) and join it to the 1st ispconfig server as a multi-server system recreate the dns zones and records in ispconfig. install ispconfig on your other centos dns server ( or a new server to replace one of the existing dns servers) and join it to the 1st ispconfig server as you did the other one. either make this 2nd dns server a mirror of the 1st dns server in the ispconfig interface, or configure secondary dns zones.
i know there was a module for using powerdns.. i don't know if it's still usable / up-to-date.. i've never tried it. i don't know of any others.. it's possible some people have it working with eg cloudflare. if you're running your own dns servers rather that using some external service provider, you'll want to install ispconfig on the dns server.. ispconfig stores all the dns zone info and records in it's own database, then creates the actual bind zone files from the database data.
