I'd like to bring the ISPConfig community a bit closer together. So I'm suggesting a digital get-together on https://meet.jit.si/ispconfig every month Lets start this Friday, April 14th on 14:00 (UTC+2) Free from format for now, just an informal chat amongst developers and users. PS: I'm open to shifting to another times if that works better, but lets first try this.
Sounds good. Personally I'm more interested in developer and development topics around ISPConfig (like future milestones) and not so much in admin stuff, but let's see how it turns out since the format is free for now, as you said.
This first meeting was just a get-together where no decisions were made. We only talked superficially about certain things, also about some open ISPConfig issues, and for what was discussed, the forum is imho the wrong platform. Something what we agreed to at this get-together, is that it would be good if we could attract more developers from the community contributing code to the project so that issues/features can be implemented or resolved faster OR alternatively finding ways to pay a developer who could work dedicated on the project. The best thing would be if we could achieve both. Basically problems that alot of open source projects are sadly dealing with. Personally, I would be already happy if the project could attract more regularly active developers from the community.
Thanks for joining. Lets do it again on Friday, May 12th on 14:00 (UTC+2) in https://meet.jit.si/ispconfig PS: @ahrasis the forum is not going away, this is just an extra way to engage the community.
