    Hello all
I have Nextcloud installed and running as per this tutorial.
I now have a desire to integrate LibreOffice/LibreOffice-online as a self hosted installation integrated with Nextcloud. I don't wish to use a third party cloud service.
The LibreOffice/Nextcloud app states I need LibreOffice, but I am having difficulty interpretting that statement in that, does LibreOffice need to be installed on the same machine as Nextcloud or on a remote server?
If it should be on the same machine as Nextcloud then how should that be done properly?
If it should be installed on a remote server I can't find the information on how the LibreOffice/nextcould app connects to that remote installation.

Or if someone has an alternate solution for a selfhosted cloud based office service I am open to suggestions.

Altimately the object here is to have a self hosted cloud based office solution so that users can centrally store/create/edit/share office documents.

    Regards

    Fred

So you have already found documents about Libreoffice as cloud application? You could post links to the documentation.

The short answer is no because it is docker. I am running a bare ISPc machine with nextcloud.
Now that may seem a little short sighted, but my serious lack of knowledge with docker doesn't help.
If I could be confident that I can simply install Collabora Online/LibreOffice Online on my ISPc server without ganking it I would.

I think I'll copy my current ISPc VM to a new VM and install Collabora Online directly on it and see what happens. That way if I gank it I can just switch back to the original VM.

It would appear that simply installing Colladora Online as per this page on the ISPc server works without further configuration. Well that is my preliminary test anyway. Now for some more extensive testing.
