    Hello Friends,
Last Week i Installed ISPConfig 3.2.11.p2 on a freshly setup Ubuntu 22.04 VM.
After setting up the admin Email under System_>Config i was able to Login using Two-factor authentication provided by ISPConfig3.
Now i was playing around with the server yesterday and was trying to install some broken packages which failed completely (mailman2).
After not being able to install mailman i purged the installation with:
    apt-get purge mailman
    The Server removed the packages.
Now today i tried to login as admin in ISPConfig3 Interface and got the error message: Sending Mail for [email protected] Failed.
I enabled debugging in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/web/login/otp.php in Line 235 but it didnt help me to identify the problem.
Heres the mail log-file-content from /var/log/mail.log:

    Mar 16 21:30:27 ns1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[186722]: connect from unknown[194.169.175.17]

    File /var/log/mail.err has two entries:
Mar 16 17:34:54 ns1 dovecot: auth: Error: auth client 0 disconnected with 1 pending requests: EOF
Mar 16 17:58:03 ns1 dovecot: auth: Error: auth client 0 disconnected with 1 pending requests: EOF

Please can anybody help me to identify the Root-cause of this problem? After all it allready worked yesterday...

    Best Regards
    Eugen

Perhaps the root cause is what caused packages to be broken? From where and how did you install mailman2? ISPconfdig does not support mailman2.
See from file /var/log/dpkg.log what packages got removed, maybe there was something the system needs? Why did you purge mailman but had installed mailman2? If both were installed at the same time, that may have broken the setup.
If this is recently installed system for learning ISPConfig, consider trashing it and just starting again from the beginning, this time not doing the stuff that broke the setup.
