disable ipv6

Hi all,

I've got problems with email delivery due to ipv6 missing ptr records.
Is it safe to completely disable it from web/email/contropanel servers?
If I disable it do I need to remove all dns entries for ipv6 or anything else?

You don't need IPv6.

No the DNS Server can still serve AAAA Records even if the server itself does not operate on ipv6

You could just disable ipv6 for Postfix instead.

Do I need just to replace inet_protocols = all to inet_protocols = ipv4 or needs something more?

 

Yes. You might want to use a template file so that ISPConfig Updates don't overwrite this in the future. And don't forget to restart the service
