Migrate server, keep IP address

I'm about to finally migrate the first production server I set up using ISPConfig some years ago to new hardware. Dry runs look good so far. My plan is to switch the new server to the old server's (main) IP address when the migration is successful & complete (and to keep the old server up for a few more days on its secondary IP address for cleanup purposes and transferring any leftover stuff.)

Is there a howto for how I accomplish that beyond what the migration tool howto says? My guess is that migrating websites to the "*" IP address will care for the web part, but what about the rest of the setup? It there anything to do beyond editing the IP address under System -> Server IP addresses, alongside changing the IP address in the underlying OS?

    Thanks & cheers,
    Etc

If you want to keep the IP, then just don't let the Migration Tool replace IP addresses.

Excellent. (I should have checked the migrate command options more thoroughly...)
