I enabled two-factor authentication with the default, "e-mail". Unfortunately it appears no e-mail address was associated with my admin account because when I try to log in I see, "No mail address available to sent an OTP code to."

Is there a place in the configuration files/DB I could add such an address via the command line?

Or, if not, can I turn off 2FA that way?

You can switch it off in sys_user table using phpmyadmin.

For what it's worth, anyone else who screws up like I did might find this article helpful, as it also includes the reversion method described by Till.
