Hello. I noticed that when I enable the SSL and/or Let's Encrypt SSL buttons in a domain's settings, nothing new is added to /var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log, or even in /var/log/ispconfig/cron.log files it just says "run job (cronjob_letsencrypt) done." . So, when the Let's Encrypt button is disabled by itself, I can't find the reason why it was denied. I did enable extra logging in the system's configuration settings, but still. many thanks
See here: https://forum.howtoforge.com/threads/lets-encrypt-error-faq.74179/ Please always start with the read before posting post before making a new thread and use the forum search function as questions like the one you asked are covered there already: https://forum.howtoforge.com/threads/please-read-before-posting.58408/
I know and read that already. I only wondered if it was not possible to have more logging after I enable the Lets Encrypt box in the site settings.
It is, and it's described there: Also, the post is very clear about what you must post if you want to get help with any Let's Encrypt-related question: Your post is missing the debug output, which would have shown you and us the answer why you did not got a LE cert. Btw. The reason for your issue is most likely misconfiguration in DNS, or you closed port 80, or your system is not able to access domains on its own system, e.g., if you placed it behind a NAT router, then you must enable skip lets-encrypt check. But that is all covered in the FAQ as well.
