Just be clear. The problem I had has been solved.

I don't want or need a homepage with FQDN. I was just not sure how to get hold of the cert to make a DANE TLSA record. And I thought I was smart and found a desciption somewhere that I thought was working. It turned out after the ISPC generated cert ran out I got problems with authentication from other mailservers.
But with help from you guys here I managed to get the right cert data and used them to generate my TLSA at https://www.huque.com/bin/gen_tlsa.
But for future use, the discussion here is interesting to follow.
I am full of admiration of what you guys know and that you are willing to share your knowledge.
I have a homepage running which is also my "library" or "notebook" of good free places to test ones homepage and mailserver for SSL certs DMARC, SPF, DKIM, DANE and all other stuff.
Maybe it would be of benefit for more people if it was shown somewhere here on howtoforge? And maybe somebody have some other good links. Maybe there are already something here that I haven't found. Anyways you are welcome to get the links I have found at https://bnjpro.dk.

I've been having a similar problem. After I upgraded my server from Ubuntu 20 to 24, and following the ISPConfig update if I reboot my server I'm no longer able to receive email. The only resolution I've found it rerunning the ISPConfig configuration script over which appears to fix whatever stopped working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is required anyway as describe din the upgrade instructions: https://www.howtoforge.com/update-the-ispconfig-perfect-server-from-ubuntu-22-04-to-ubuntu-24-04/

Please follow the upgrade instructions, which explain what you must do incl. that you must run an ispconfig update to reconfigure the services.

I followed the upgrade instructions as instructed, went over the instructions at least twice to ensure I didn't miss a step.

Then please make your own new thread as you do not have the same issue discussed in this thread. In your thread, you can post the errors you got in the mail.log file when you receive an email.
