    Hello everyone,
    This is my first comment...
I'd like to ask if anyone has updated to the latest version of Roundcube on the latest ISPconfig version.
Does anyone have a tutorial on how to do this? I tried to do it with artificial intelligence, and it messed up my email configuration, and I have to reinstall ISPconfig from scratch. So before I reinstall, I want to know if this update is possible and how I can do it...

    Thanks.

The easiest way to have latest RoundCube (versions that are newer than what the Linux distributions provide) is probably to just create a website for it in ISPConfig, e.g. webmail.yourdomain.tld, create a database user and database in ISPConfig and then download the RoundCube source and install it into the web folder of that site.

Personally, I just stay with the RoundCube version that is provided by the operating system (Debian or Ubuntu), I don't need the latest version and the Debian/Ubuntu version gets security patches automatically and updates when needed together with all the other OS packages. So it's less hassle if you want to have a stable and secure system.

    Thanks for your quick response.

I actually did it because I had the latest version, just thinking it was better... but I understand and will take your comment into account. My question is, when you say you're sticking with the RoundCube version of the operating system, is it the same one that ISPConfig installs? Or is it a different version?

It's the version ISPConfig installs with apt. RoundCube is not from ISPConfig, it's just a package of your OS.
