I have two sides to my site. A publ;ice cream area anyone can visit and a members only area. I would like to have a public calendar when events for anyone3 can be seen. The members would see the private events and the public oner. I just wasn't to have certain categories to only show in the public area.

that has nothing to do with ispconfig, it's solely concerning the hosted website itself.
that said, none of the categories really match the question too well, probably the best place for this is the technical category on the linux forums section.

secondly, you provide no information about the website itself. is this a custom coded website? wordpress? drupal? joomla? laravel? something else?
are you using a calendar plugin? is the calendar data hosted in the website database or are you linking to eg google calendar? outlook calendar? some other 3rd party calendar?

does your calendar system allow for both public and private calendars? does it check if you have a login, you may be able to get away with just checking eg, wordpress is_logged_in function, or you may need to use a separate membership plugin.

you haven't provided anywhere near enough information to give you any useful direction.
