I am having problem with the VAT check in VIES, it doesn't work with some customers, very are not VIES certified but still the VAT ID is correct. There are some typology of company that doens't complaint with that. ISPConfig should warn about the VIES but still allow to use the invalid VAT. Or can someone tell me how to disable the VIES check in the php code? Roberto
The VIES check is part of ISPConfig and not part of the Billing module. It is planned to add an option in ISPConfig to disable it. If you want to disable it on your system right now, edit the client and reseller form files in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/web/client/form/ and comment out the checks for the vat id field.
Hello, I checked for the "planned to add an option in ISPConfig to disable it" portion of the reply, but didn't find it. I am outside of Europe and have to deliver invoices to a European customer who is not in VIES and... does not need to, since VIES is only for intra-EU-community invoicing and I am not in EU.
If he is not in VIES, then he can not have a European VAT ID. In this case, do not enter a VAT ID (as he can't have one) into the European VAT ID field.
