I have just setup RoundCube Beta2 on Apache 2 with MySQL, and I can get to the login page, but it will not allow me to login. When I try to login, it just comes up with Login Failed. This is the error in /Logs - [07-Nov-2006 17:58:51 +0000] IMAP Error: Authentication for USERNAME failed (LOGIN): "a001 NO STARTTLS required" in on line 0 Now, I have it set to use IMAP on port 143 and TLS is configured on the server, Thunderbird uses it as does my current Webmail client - SquirrelMail (it works, but is ugly, which is why I wanted to try this one). What I get in the mailserver logs is - Nov 7 18:01:15 HOSTNAME imaplogin: Connection, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.100] Nov 7 18:01:15 HOSTNAME imaplogin: DISCONNECTED, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.100], time=0 I am running Debian Sarge with Postfix and Courier-IMAP. As I said, this works with no problems on Thunderbird and SquirrelMail. SquirrelMail is set to use the IMAP STARTTLS extension, not to append tls:// to the hostname. It looks to me that RoundCube is not sending/starting TLS, but I could be wrong. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks!
Try this Maildir is not created until an email is sent to the inbox. So sent an email from another account to your account which you want to use with ROundCube. Then Maildir is created and probably you can login. Another tip: Did you remove the .htaccess file within your web?
Hi, Thanks, but this is an existing mail account and has already had its Maildir created on the mailserver. I removed the .htaccess file from the root of the RoundCube folder, but that hasnt made a difference. Thanks though!
Is php safe mode switched off? Did you setup the mysql-database as described in my howto at http://www.howtoforge.com/roundcube_webmail_ispconfig ? By the way, i do not know for sure if RoundCube can be configured for use with TLS!
Hi, Yes, PHP Safe Mode is switched off. I followed this on installing - http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/wiki/Howto_Install and ran the script for MySQL 5, which is what I am using. I had considered that it didnt support STARTTLS, however after Googling etc I have not found anything to say it doesnt..so, I will have to wait and see! heh Thanks
