I think Debian Etch uses a newer Postfix version. The format of the mysql*.cf files has changed since Postfix 2.2. Please find out about your Postfix version: Code: postconf -d | grep mail_version If it's 2.2 or newer, please use the configuration files (nothing else) from this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/fedora_virtual_postfix_mysql_quota_courier
So thats the only change, Brillaint! Thanks And its the newer version http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=debian
No maildir problem I followed your guide à-la-lettre : http://www.howtoforge.net/virtual_users_and_domains_with_postfix_debian_etch Though, I have this problem while getting my email : USER [email protected] +OK Password required. PASS mylittepass -ERR chdir ar-systems.net/arthur/ failed Connection closed by foreign host. I made things exactly as you said, and syslog returns me this : Jun 18 11:57:31 stock courierpop3login: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1] Jun 18 11:57:44 stock courierpop3login: chdir ar-systems.net/arthur/: No such file or directory Pleeeease help
[fixed] Check your postfix conf with a postcheck . My postfix war not sending the emails due to misconfiguration : proxy=mysql instead of proxy:mysql. It went just fine afterwards. but I can not receive emails from the outside world :/.
