I have been looking over several control panels and noticed that with most control panels you do a minimum OS install and the control panel does the rest. (apache, mysql, php) Now with ISPConfig when you follow the perfect install tutorials you install most of the extra software during the OS (apache, mysql, php) install. Does this method offer any benifits? or make the control panel less intrusive. TIA
Thats not correct for ISPConfig. Ispconfig uses apache, postfix, php, mysql and the pop3 / iamp daemon that comes with your linux distribution so you can esily use and install the updates of your linux. The benefit is that you can use the security updates from your linux distribution.
