    Hello,

I am trying to setup a dev system here at home so that I can work on a bunch of our websites.

Right now I am using the LAMP and Fedora 6 tutorial to set it up and hopefully this one will work. I am new to Linux, etc. so this has been an adventure. I find it strange that you cannot install Fedora Core 6 and have things work out of the box, but hey, if Linux were easy it would be Windows.

Anyways, I saw the guide "How To Configure Dynamic DNS (Fedora Core 4 Setup)" and I have two questions.

    1. Will this work on Fedora Core 6?

    2. Will it work with the Fedora Core 6 LAMP instructions?

The reason I am asking is that I have a nice CheckPoint Sofaware box that runs the DHCP stuff for me and I would rather have each new virtual site I start on my dev server to be automatically assigned an IP.

To run Dynamic DNS you can use ddclient. It will update your DNS with the latest IP of your server and keep it updated as it changes.

    Randall,

ddclient, I am still new at this, where can I find that? Is that included in Fedora Core 6 or ISPConfig?
