Hi Folks, I have setup ISPConfig on SUSE 10.1 with external DNS and rest everything as default as mentioned in your step by step tutorial. I am behind a NAT/Firewall and trying to host 3 domains (websites and email) using ISPconfig. I have setup one reseller which has in total 3 clients and they have a website (domain each). So far DNS is working, ftp to each domain is working, website for each domain is working. However, email is working only for the first domain I create (does not matter which domain). When I send an email to the second or third domains I created, and use POP to retrieve them, I never get them. Although, authentication must be working fine, since when I use Outlook 2003 to check the account, all tests come back ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for your reply till. Following is the /etc/postfix/local-host-names file, also please tell me the path and name for the mail log file. For the mail log file, I believe you are asking for /var/log/mail file. This file is kinda big, I wonder if I should paste it here.. There is also a /var/log/mail.err file which is FULLLLL of these same errors: Feb 12 14:05:58 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3428]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:06:28 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3441]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:06:34 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3442]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:06:59 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3455]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:07:29 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3470]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:07:35 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3471]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:08:00 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3478]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:08:30 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3491]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:08:36 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3494]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:09:01 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3499]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:09:31 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3512]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:09:37 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3515]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:10:02 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3520]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:10:32 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3539]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:10:38 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3542]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:11:03 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3547]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:11:33 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3560]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:11:39 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3563]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$ Feb 12 14:12:04 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[3568]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operatio$ Feb 12 14:12:34 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[3581]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operati$ Feb 12 14:12:40 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[3584]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation$
Sorry the previous message got truncated, Operation$ , it should say: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation not permitted Also the last few lines of /var/log/mail are as follows and they keep repeating: suseispconfig:/var/log # tail mail Feb 12 14:49:26 suseispconfig pop3d: LOGOUT, user=sharmafamilyadmin, ip=[::ffff:24.108.195.154], top=0, retr=0, time=0 Feb 12 14:49:43 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[4469]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation not permitted Feb 12 14:49:44 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd pid 4469 exit status 1 Feb 12 14:49:44 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling Feb 12 14:50:12 suseispconfig postfix/pickup[4477]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation not permitted Feb 12 14:50:13 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/pickup pid 4477 exit status 1 Feb 12 14:50:13 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/pickup: bad command startup -- throttling Feb 12 14:50:19 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[4480]: fatal: match_list_parse: open file /etc/postfix/local-host-names: Operation not permitted Feb 12 14:50:20 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/qmgr pid 4480 exit status 1 Feb 12 14:50:20 suseispconfig postfix/master[18938]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/qmgr: bad command startup -- throttling
Following is the output: suseispconfig:~ # ls -la /etc/postfix/local-host-names -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 434 Feb 10 16:16 /etc/postfix/local-host-names Regarding AppArmour, I followed the default step by step tutorial, so must have disabled it, but how can I double check if AppArmour is disabled, is there a command like chkconfig-- ? Thanks
I believe apparmour is on, because when I give the chkconfig command, I get a reply with the line saying: boot.apparmor on I would research and see how I can see it..
HI till- I have stopped apparmor by using the command: /etc/init.d/boot.apparmor stop Now I am getting a different (looks more promising) error message in my /var/log/mail file , it is as follows: Feb 13 08:27:24 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[24801]: disconnect from shawidc-mo1.cg.shawcable.net[24.71.223.10] Feb 13 08:27:25 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: warning: connect to private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory Feb 13 08:27:25 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: warning: problem talking to server private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory Feb 13 08:27:25 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: warning: no entropy for TLS key generation: disabling TLS support Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[24801]: connect from S0106000d88986a69.gv.shawcable.net[24.108.195.154] Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: warning: host suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com[24.108.195.154] greeted me with my own hostname suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: warning: host suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com[24.108.195.154] replied to HELO/EHLO with my own hostname suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24804]: 402B234632: to=<[email protected]>, orig_to=<[email protected]>, relay=suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com[24.108.195.154], delay=2, status=bounced (mail for suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com loops back to myself) Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[24801]: disconnect from S0106000d88986a69.gv.shawcable.net[24.108.195.154] Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/cleanup[24803]: 4C5723467A: message-id=<[email protected]> Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[24638]: 4C5723467A: from=<>, size=4251, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/qmgr[24638]: 402B234632: removed Feb 13 08:27:26 suseispconfig postfix/smtp[24809]: warning: connect to private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory
Please add the line: suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com at the end of the file /etc/postfix/local-host-names and restart postfix.
Hi Till, I have added the line you suggested at the end (after the #### MAKE MANUAL ENTRIES BELOW THIS LINE! ####) line in my /etc/postfix/local-host-names files and restarted postfix using the command /etc/init.d/postfix restart, it now looks like this: ################################### # # ISPConfig local-host-names Configuration File # Version 1.0 # ################################### localhost suseispconfig.jacesolutions localhost.suseispconfig.jacesolutions localhost.jacesolutions localhost.localdomain www.sharmafamily.com www.indiawebsearch.com www.jacesolutions.com jacesolutions.com indiawebsearch.com sharmafamily.com #### MAKE MANUAL ENTRIES BELOW THIS LINE! #### suseispconfig.jacesolutions.com let me get back to you after I test sending recieving emails!
TILL! YOU ROCK MAN!!! It works!!! I can send and recieve emails to all three domains!! Thank You soo much!! One last question, in my /var/logs/mail file I am still getting the following warning, is this something to be concerned of..how can I fix it..: Feb 13 09:33:20 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[26407]: warning: connect to private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory Feb 13 09:33:21 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[26407]: warning: connect to private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory Feb 13 09:33:21 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[26407]: warning: problem talking to server private/tlsmgr: No such file or directory Feb 13 09:33:21 suseispconfig postfix/smtpd[26407]: warning: no entropy for TLS key generation: disabling TLS support Thanks again!
