Hi Guys, Please can i ask why i cant sent email from a email account or all email accounts i have setup for my domain... here have a look... here i did this as well and this any suggestion would be aprechiated... regards brainz
relay rules is the answer brainz, I suppose you have Postfix as your mail server, (in any case you should when asking this kind of questions give more info, like OS, mailserver, versions) but the important thing is that your have i quote: PASS Open relay test OK: All of your mailservers appear to be closed to relaying relay is the property of a mail server to restrict who (ip, user, Mailclient) can receive and send mails (not the best definition but sufficient), so in the postfix main configuration : main.conf you can enable or disable this restricctions. There are a set of rules, open them and try them each one, so go search google. be careful becouse if you open all the restricctions you can be matricaulated as an open relay server and others servers may not receive mail that your server sends. I think the success of a mail server is a good set of relay rules and a good set of antispam procedures. (sometimes relays rules prevent spamming ) hope this helps, anf good luck
Hi Guys, I also did this and got this... which i think look right... any advice would be apreciated.... regards brainz

Hi falko, Here is what is in etc/hosts ... and here is the stripped /etc/postfix/main.cf sorry this was a bit late but here is what you have requested falko, thankyou your help once again.. regards brainz
ohhh just remebered as well this issue first started when i tried to login to squirrelmail for the account and it would not recognise the password... i changed the mailboxes password and it still does not let me in.... Just wondering if this could also be related to the issue in anyway... regards brainz
Please modify /etc/hosts so that it looks like this: Code: # Do not remove the following line, or various programs # that require network functionality will fail. 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost Restart Postfix afterwards.

hi Falko, I was looking at a root log and it has this in it... and this in it... Looks like the server from what i can tell is either dieing or its been hacked... any ideas would be wonderful.. but i think i rebuild is what will fix regards brainz
This means just that there is no email address [email protected] existing. Have you created this email address in ISPConfig?
Hi Till, Yes all the email address exist in ispconfig... i just edited them here so they cannot be used by bots etc.... but yes all the emails do exist in ispconfig... except for these 2 which i dont know where they come from regards brainz
Hi Till, Im sorry i am unable to check at the moment becuase i remotely restarted the server and there is no one there to log it into root until monday our time here in sydney australia... Vnc will not allow me to connect after a reboot for some reason or another. However as soon i get access to the server again i will check this and let you know..... This is really upsetting me to the point that i might rebuild it again from scratch this time with a slave server as well.... regards brainz
