ubuntu instalation

    ubuntu installation

    I'm using windows xp. I have orginal ubuntu disc, but it don't works. I have use other versions too, but result is same. I want to use ubuntu as a Live CD
    OK, there are some pictures:
    I restarted pc and booted cd...
    The begin of installation:

    Maybe Ubuntu doesn't support your hardware. Have you tried "Start Ubuntu in safe graphics mode"?

    Ok, i will try...
    btw my PC:

    Intel Celeron 2.66 ghz
    Ram 512
    HDD 80
    VGA 128

    There shouldn't be any problems...

    Which exact grafic card do you use?

    Try the safe graphics mode. After Ubuntu has been installed on your system, you might have to install nVidia drivers. I think there come some nVidia drivers with Automatix: http://www.howtoforge.com/automatix_ubuntu
