New poster on here. Det up server as per this Tutorial with no problems. Excellent How-To. All been working fine until yesterday. Been getting warnings from Clamav that version 0.88 as downloaded from entatlement repro was out of date so upgraded by RPM to 0.90-1 2 days ago. Al working fine, Checking maillogs this morning noticed errors say cant connect to /var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock - connection refused. First idea was that clamd had failed to restart after database update so restarted the system. All loads fine except service clamd.amavisd which returns the error /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd.amavisd: line 7: /usr/share/clamav/clamd-wrapper: No such file or directory I have searched most places for this file but cant seem to find what provides this and where it comes from. Can anyone help on this Many thanks Andy
Have you considered to update amavisd too, or is this already the latest version? Is the clamav rpm that you used from your linux distribution or from the clamav website?
Thanks for the reply Ran yum update to upgrade all packages before downloading and installing clamav rpm's so I assume amavis-new is the current version # rpm -q amavisd-new amavisd-new-2.4.4-2.fc5 Clamav rpm's came from third party site linked from ClamAV.net http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/crash-hat/5/clamav/ Thanks Andy
