I use the tutorial Virtual Users And Domains With Postfix, Courier And MySQL (Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft), when i send and email i recebe this in return: This is the mail system at host teiast.com. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster> If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system <[email protected]>: unknown user: "hugomartins" When i try do telnet localhost 110 and try to enter whit the user i get this error: -ERR chdir teiast.com/hugomartins/ failed Connection closed by foreign host. In my mail.log when i try to login to the mail i get this error: Apr 26 23:01:10 teiast courierpop3login: chdir teiast.com/hugomartins/: No such file or directory I read alot of posts but i couldnt fix yet this problem can some one help me?
Does [email protected] exist in your MySQL database? Is teiast.com listed in the domains table? What's the output of Code: grep mydestination /etc/postfix/main.cf ?
mydestination = teiast.com, localhost, localhost.localdomain #mydestination = localhost, localhost.localdomain proxy_read_maps = $local_recipient_maps $mydestination $virtual_alias_maps $virtual_alias_domains $virtual_mailbox_maps $virtual_mailbox_domains $relay_recipient_maps $relay_domains $canonical_maps $sender_canonical_maps $recipient_canonical_maps $relocated_maps $transport_maps $mynetworks $virtual_mailbox_limit_maps I have the domain and user in the DB, since if i put another user it say Login Fail whit the one i have there gives that error. I need to create all folders manual after put an user in the DB?
I have create a /home/vmail/teiast.com/hugomartins whit cur tmp and new folders, i dont get that error of "-ERR chdir teiast.com/hugomartins/ failed" he does the login but if i send emails to that account i get the same error " <[email protected]>: unknown user: "hugomartins" ". I have create another user and get the same error.
Ths its working . I have delete all logs of email and restart the cpu to see the erros, here are the ones i found: Apr 28 18:37:31 teiast dccifd[3623]: fopen(/var/run/dcc/dccifd.pid): No such file or directory Apr 28 18:37:31 teiast dccifd[3623]: 1.2.74 listening to /var/lib/dcc/dccifd Dont even know if this is an error or if its normal.

The use of sasldb2 is wrong. What's in your /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf? Does it look like the one from the tutorial?
