Kay really weird. I used ISPConfig to give someone an autoresponder which didn't give me any errors or anything. Once that was done all three of those files were empty. I was going to implement the backup solution for this box today, been testing it on another box for problems but no problems for that box...didn't get it on this one in time for a backup. So I'm retarded and don't have a backup I can recover from, will probably have to rebuild the files by hand. ISPConfig still shows the users that have been created in the past but no one can access their mailbox as their users don't exist. Why would ISPConfig empty those files? I'm not sure what logs to post or what information to give as this is making me nervous...all the work that I have to do to get this thing running again... Thanks
Most likely theare where syntx errors in these files. Did you manage users with other programs beside ISPConfig? Please check the ispconfig.log file in /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ for errors. Maybe there is still a backup version of the files with a ~ appended to the name.
I've learned (even though I'm a newb) never to edit those files by hand. I've only ever used useradd or ISPConfig to add users. The ~ files were the same as the broken ones, empty. I'm rebuilding everything again so it's not as big of a deal as it was but I'm just curious to why this has happened. I looked through the ispconfig.log and I couldn't see any errors or problems that would cause it to remove all the data from inside those files.

Well the higher powers from above have spoken and I've had to remove ISPConfig. Now I have another problem. I went through the uninstall but now the admispconfig user was removed but the mail that is going to that user for quota (I'm assuming), so the root user (which I'm getting all the mail for) is having about 75 messages every 10 seconds delivered and all into my mailbox...I've re-added that user to stop the messages to me but how can I stop the messages for good?
You will either have to reinstall ISPConfig or remove all procmail recipes from the email accounts created by ISPConfig. The procmail recipes are stored in the home directories of the email users, the files are hidden, so you may get a list of the files only with the command "ls -la" in the directory.
