[vmail@as i386]$ sudo yum install libtool postgresql-devel gdbm-devel pam-devel expect openldap-devel Password: Sorry, try again. Password: Sorry, try again. Password: sudo: 2 incorrect password attempts What password is it asking for? yum?
It is asking for the password of the first user that you created, which is able to become root user under ubuntu.
Following the thread, http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual_users_postfix_courier_mailscanner_clamav_centos "Next we switch to this user su vmail sudo yum install libtool postgresql-devel gdbm-devel pam-devel expect openldap-devel" Why does it need to sudo yum? yum is not a user in my CentOS at all.
