Postfix outgoing spam

Hi all,

How can I make Postfix prevents outgoing spam by scanning every outgoing message using SpamAssassin? This will be very useful if a defected site is sending spam from the server.

Can this tutorial work along with ISPConfig already installed on the system? Can they coexist with each other without any problems?

 

Yes, but I'd then disable SpamAssassin and ClamAV for each mail account in ISPConfig.

Can't I just use the SpamAssassin that is already installed with ISPConfig to scan outgoing messages, or use it to scan ingoing messages while use the other one to scan outgoing messages?

 

I think you can tell amavisd where SpamAssassin is installed (take a look at the amavisd configuration). So there's no need to install a second SpamAssassin.

 

Follow this guide http://advosys.ca/papers/postfix-instance.html and run a second copy of postfix and this will allow all functions of ispconfig but remove the need to change anything already existing!
