why we encode SOAP application?

    In our company we are developing SOAP applications, I have little bit knowledge about SOAP Applications and the encoding techniques. My question is that, what is the safety of soap encoding. Why we seek to encode it.

    SOAP encoding has nothing to do with safety. SOAP is a communication standard based on XML. If you want to have a safe SOAP connection, you must connect e.g. trough SSL.
