Hi there, We started getting the following bounces for every email acount hosted on our servers (all w/ISPconfig 225) The error is like the following: <[email protected]>: host xxxxxxxxxxx.com[111.222.333.44] said: 550-Verification failed for <[email protected]> 550-The mail server could not deliver mail to [email protected]. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries. 550 Sender verify failed (in reply to RCPT TO command) We tried the suggestion posted by Falko at: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-5141.html and here: http://www.how2forge.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5446 but none of them worked and emails keep getting rejected.- Any ideas pls? Many thanks, Lady
Please check if your domain is blacklisted, you may perform the test e.g. here: http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Hi Till, Thanks for the answer! We checked it there and it says the following: Blacklist Name: UCEPROTECTL3 Status: Listed Reason: Your ISP NSS S.A./AS16814 is UCEPROTECT-Level3 listed because he is responsible for a total of 276 abusers on the net. Now, when we went to UCEPROTECT and check our specific IPs and none of them is blacklisted! (Status: not listed) but our ISP is level 3 so we already sent a complaint because on UCEPROTECT only the ISP can fill in the form for that level of abuse and if the ISP is level 3 you get your IPs automatically blacklisted :s When the blacklisting is off we will be able to check if that's the real prob or not For the moment thanks for your reply and a small question on ISPconfig DNS Entry Panel: I've read in many places that it is suggested to set up the following: ********************************* A Record IP-Adresse Hostname 111.222.333.44 mail 111.222.333.44 www MX Mailserver Hostname mail.domain.com SPF Hostname domain.com ********************************* Is this correct? Many thanks in advance, Lady
