Hello, I have been trying to set up a web server following the The Perfect Setup - Debian Etch (Debian 4.0) guide. I have managed to get most parts of the server working, but I cannot connect to the proftpd server with the account that I wish to connect with (I get a 530 error, login incorrect). My normal user account can connect to the server, so I am unsure what I did wrong with the other user. I have tried several of the suggestions that I saw suggested with other similar problems, but to no avail. Resolved... I found that the directory the user had set as home did not exist. After creating the directory all was well. Guess I did just overlook something ~Onor
