Which distribution do you use? What's the output of
    Code:
    updatedb
    locate rlm_sql_mysql.so
    ?

    Hijacking this thread

Since it' been dead for a while, and it's exactly the problem I'm having, I'll pick up where it left off.

My situation is probably slightly different in that I installed FreeRADIUS on a machine that did not have mySQL on it. The reason is that I am keeping my db on another machine. However, when I enabled sql auth, I get pretty much the same errors he was getting.

I tried installing mySQL to see if there were just missing libraries, but that didn't work.

Can someone offer some help? (I'm not against saving my config files and starting over.)

    Thank you.

    -Doc

Are there any errors in your logs?

    Hi there,

Actually I started from scratch again last night. I am now past this problem and troubleshooting the dreaded "There are no DB handles to use!" problem. :-(

    Wish me luck!

    -Doc.
