    Hi,

I installed VMware on Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10
Recently, I tried to install a different version of VMware, and it told me that VMware was previously installed. Any idea how to get rid of it? It does not show up in my application menu anymore

    dj@dj-laptop:~/Tmp/vmware-server-distrib$ sudo '/home/dj/Tmp/vmware-server-distrib/vmware-install.pl'
A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

    Failure

    Execution aborted.

    dj@dj-laptop:~/Tmp/vmware-server-distrib$

I'm looking for the same thing. I'm stuck at getting rid of the old version with the exact same error.
